Trails and Pathways

Creating inviting trails and pathways to engage and inspire visitors and users.

For all visitor sites and schools, it is essential to create movement corridors of trails and pathways. These corridors will disperse congested areas, encourage walking, and circulate people around the site.  Ensuring that these trails and pathways are accessible all year round is critical, particularly for schools where the majority of the school year takes place during winter.

Sequential journeys

These are paths which lead from one point of interest to another, and are animated with art and sculpture, boulders, natural play features, info boards, and a mix of seasonally sensuous trees and plants.  The result is a free flowing site with a wide variety of opportunities to participate in activities and mindfulness, which:

  • Encourages movement
  • Stimulates imagination
  • Inspires creativity & curiosity
  • Strengthens links to places
  • Allows year round access
  • Connects tree avenues, arbors, art, sculpture, nature habitat, etc.

Explore the hidden possibilities of your site, create a Walk through History or a Nature Trail.  We can help you outline your objectives and bring them to life.

Our feasibility and concept design stages will identify the unique qualities of your site and make them accessible all year round.  Our Nature Trails use recycled materials for all construction parts with durable, accessible options to suit your budget.

“Because of Leaves of Green’s involvement…..

we now have a fantastic new pathway, endless creative play possibilities, a daily mile circuit and a parent community fully engaged with extending the development of our school grounds.”
