The Bull Meadows

North Claines purchased a 15 acre agricultural field – traditionally known as The Bull Meadows – to develop as locally distinct landscape for their community. Our design for the concept masterplan and the supporting documentation, allowed them to achieve planning permission for change of use from green belt to public open space.  But more importantly, it created a coherent, multifunctional layout for leisure activities, sports, walking, education & biodiversity. A ‘Place for All’, where local people can engage, collaborate and enjoy the natural surroundings.  Work is well under way on installing this precedent local community project: ponds, paths and planting is entering its second season.
