Project Overview
In 2009 we created this landscape for Wyre Forest District Council. It won a Best Practice award with the National Lottery. An important part of the project was to install some feature standing stones and boulders. These fantastic features became locally distinct and iconic, appealing to a sense of history and Englishness. The site is above the mighty River Severn, and there is certainly a powerful sense of history embedded in the landscape. The stones are similar in colour to the local ‘Red Stone’ – they were, however, sourced from the Forest of Dean.
The BMX track gave much business to the cycle shop in town!
