Forest School and Zen Garden

We were approached by the school business managers to create an area for forest schools learning.  It was a little used marginal area to one side of the school. Opposite was a discarded lawn area in front of the dining room.  During our discussions, we felt that the area could be a more formal overspill space for forest schools, doubling as a garden to relax and (once the plants had grown) attune to Nature.

We planted some fine specimen trees at this project and can’t wait for the clock to go fowards 20 years, to see what they look like then!  However, it has to be said they looked great on completion of this fine project.   We sourced some beautiful welsh river washed boulders for the zen garden, and the school provided some super art work for the entrance arch and upright poles.
